Jim Flood
Jim
Flood began his training in karate in the late 1970s under Sensei Warrener
at the Delta Dojo and is very much a part of the proud illustrious Delta
Alumni. In fact, he is one of the best fighters to ever come out of the
Delta.
He
has gone on to be a National champion and has won 6 medals at World Championships.
As a fighter Jim had the fastest kicks and one of the best fighting spirits
amongst all Canadians.
Jim
has gone on in his martial arts career to be an instructor, school owner
and franchisor. He was also the president of the World Kickboxing Association
and Canadian National Team coach. He has also shared responsibility for
producing many World Champions.
More
recently Jim met up with his most difficult opponent yet. He was involved
in a major accident in January 2005 which nearly took his life, but he
is now in recovery and we are positive that Jim will beat this opponent
the same way he beat 99% of his other opponents.
It
is a real pleasure to have Jim with us we are all very proud of
him and are in total support of his recovery. We pledge to do whatever
we can to help him back on to the dojo floor once again.
A
challenge looming for the students or young guns in the martial arts today
is that when he recovers, Jim will be better then ever. His attitude and
training are second to none. So just watch it, boys, because he is coming
back.
We are very proud and pleased to have Jim as one of our top instructors and we can not wait until he gets right back in fighting shape and we see those lightning fast kicks once again.
