Greg Mellor
Greg
Mellor began his study of judo at the age of 10 under long time Judoka
John Mills, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
In
1967, he joined Benny Allen's Eastern Karate and began training with Benny
Allen and Frank Wishart. He received his shodan from Sensei Kim in 1972.
In
1973, he attended one of Sensei Kim's seminars and a tournament in Hamilton
and has, since then, been a student of Sensei Kim's — traveling the
world with him as part of Sensei's entourage.
Considered by most Canadians to be the finest example of technique Canada
has ever produced, Greg won more then his share of competitions in kata
and in weapons kata — not to mention his pit bull fighting spirit.
He
has been a full time instructor since the early 1970s and has produced
some fine quality students. Greg continues to teach the art that he learned
from Sensei Kim in Canada.
We are very proud to have Greg as one of top instructors. With guys like Greg in our corner we are sure to continue to grow in the right direction.
